I've call them twice because off the reviews. Each time they walked me thru step to try before seeking out a tech. Saving $$, but still offered to send a tech the same day of I wanted one. Call Susan, she's customer friendly.

About Us

Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning Company has been serving clients locally since 1946. In fact, we are a family owned 4th generation company. With over 60 years of experience we have seen it all and helped thousands of customers live in comfort with heat and air conditioning. Believe it or not many of the systems we installed 30-35 years back are still being used today.

Our Team

Alan Ferguson

Position: Owner & General Manager

Alan started riding with his Dad, J.D., at the age of 12 years old and continued, working summers, holidays, and after school thru high school and college learning the heating and air conditioning trade from the ground up.

Upon graduation from Southern Tech, he took a position with Scientific-Atlanta as an Application Engineer in their Solar Energy department. A couple of years later, Alan joined Planning Research Corporation (PRC), at Cape Kennedy as an Energy Engineer. They performed energy audits for the U.S. Army and State of Florida government buildings and trained electric utility companies on design of energy efficient homes.

In 1980, Alan joined the Bell System as Southern Bell’s first Energy Consultant for their commercially available Energy Control, and Building Management Systems. Alan was with Southern Bell, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies for 17 years. For the last eight years, he was the AT&T/Lucent National Account Manager (NAM) for Turner Broadcasting Systems (TBS) and then for United Parcel Service (UPS), responsible for their worldwide telecommunications systems.

On February 1, 1997, Alan rejoined Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning Company as General Manager and became President in 2003, upon the loss of his father. Alan holds a State of Georgia Conditioned Air Non-Restricted license.

Alan is married with a daughter and son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter. He enjoys spending time with his family at the family lake house and hunting with them at their hunting club.

Jason Ferguson

Position: Installation Manager

Jason started working with his Dad (Danny Ferguson) and his Grandfather (J.D.Ferguson) in the family HVAC business at the age of 10 years old during summers and holidays until age 15.

At the age of 15, he moved to northeast Georgia. During his high school years, he worked for a commercial HVAC company in Northeast Georgia doing sheet metal fabrication and installing commercial heating and air conditioning systems in schools and hospitals until graduation.

Upon graduation from high school, Jason returned to the family business where he spent his next 10 years as a service technician. He is currently the Field Installation Manager and technical consultant on new products. Jason holds a State of Georgia Conditioned Air Non-Restricted license.

Jason is married with two daughters. He loves spending time with his girls at the family lake house and hunting club.

Bennie Wingate

Position: Service Manager

Bennie began his career in the HVAC industry in April of 1993. He was given this opportunity by Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning Company. He started out by learning the installation side of the industry and proceeded to learn the service side of the business. He has attended classes from various manufacturers and suppliers, including classes at the Heat Pump school at Georgia Power. In 1998, he left Ferguson’s to perform service work for a much larger company, only to return home to Ferguson Heating and Air in April of 2004. At this point, he assumed the role of service manager and began the process of growing our service and maintenance business, along with managing the retrofit side of the business. Since returning to Ferguson’s, he has taken numerous classes, including achieving NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification, trying to better himself and provide the type of service our customers deserve.

Bennie is married and has two children. He enjoys taking them fishing and boating. He also enjoys tinkering with cars and trucks and taking his family to classic car shows.

Mark Paul

Position: Warehouse Manager

Mark joined Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning Company in 2007. He has approximately 25 years experience in the field of Inventory and Production Control with medium to large size manufacturing companies. As Warehouse Manager, he is responsible for equipment and material inventory, and fabrication of necessary sheet metal fittings for all projects. He handles purchasing, receiving, stocking and staging of job orders. Mark is also responsible for all fleet vehicle maintenance and vehicle record tracking. His organization skills are a tremendous asset to Ferguson Heating and Air.

Mark does not shy away from change and accepts all new ideas in an effort to help Ferguson Heating and Air to be competitive during a challenging economy. Mark is an avid fisherman and also enjoys spending time with his son and his family.

Susan Prozzo

Position: Dispatcher

Susan is often times the first voice our customers hear when they call in. Susan is very friendly and helpful with identifying the needs of our customers and dispatching our team out to them.

Janet Adams

Position: Accounting

Janet has been with Ferguson Heating and Air Conditioning Company since 1992 and is a loyal co-worker. Her responsibilities consist of just about anything that involves financial or administrative duties. She has a strong background in clerical, payroll and auditing and came to Ferguson Heating and Air with over 25 years in those fields. Janet also brings a strong sense of honesty, dedication and integrity to the company.

Janet has two married sons and three grandchildren who all enjoy the outdoors and playing together. Janet’s hobbies are working in her flower beds and tending to her bird houses.

I use Ferguson Heating & Air for our residence. When our air conditioning was down, they responded quickly. Their technician had been to our home before and fixed our unit quickly while explaining how my system worked. This helps me to see potential problems coming. Their estimator gave me a quote on new equipment so that we can plan future replacement of our system. I recommend Ferguson Heating & Air.

These people are of the utmost integrity. They do what they say and follow up ….which other companies I called didn’t do. As a business owner it is refreshing to do repeat business with this company and would recommend them to anyone.
