If I order a regular co-op basket on Saturday, is it possible to also add a la carte items to the basket such as honey etc? Or will that require a separate order entirely?

    Two questions

Do you have to buy an empty basket every year?

Are the fruits and vegetables organic and GMO free?

    • PTC People
PTC People on April 21, 2014 at 2:28 pm

      Nancy,

The empty baskets are a yearly purchase. In decided how to deliver the produce we found that we had two options. 1. deliver the produce in cardboard boxes. (we decided against this because of the large amount of waste it would cause). 2. Deliver the produce in sturdy plastic baskets that could be reused over and over again. The second has an upfront cost but huge savings to the consumer and the environment. The baskets need to be replaced on a yearly basis. Does that answer your first question.

I have just emailed one of our suppliers to get an answer for your GMO question. I will let you know when I hear back.

P.S. How did you find out about us?

      Sincerely,

      Garret

      MaryBeth,

Thank you for your question and hopefully my answer will help you. I logged into our system and couldn’t find an account for you. I went ahead and created a Username and Password. After creating your new username and password you will receive an email with that information.

When you sign in or login user your username and password. The username is not the email address on file but the specific username we assigned to you.

Let me know if that makes sense?

      Sincerely,

Do you deliver to senoia? I am super interested. Also, is the produce organic from local farms?

    • PTC People
PTC People on February 21, 2014 at 4:36 pm

      Melissa,

This is the first produce basket deal of many to come. This particular basket full of produce is not locally grown and does not qualify to be labeled organic. However, we will from time to time offer baskets that are 100% locally grown and are 100% organic.

The problem we have currently with delivering produce to Senoia is that we offer free delivery. We just can’t drive all the way out to Senoia for one order and keep it free. We can however do it if certain conditions are met. For example, if you get at least 4 neighbors to participate in a produce basket deal that live within 2 minutes of each other.

We encourage this type of thing and would love to talk to you more about this. My number is (678) 723-3880.

      Sincerely,
