The Stanton Optical store at 2735 Hwy 54 in Peachtree City has permanently closed, according to MapQuest, which explicitly marks the location as no longer in operation.
Stanton Optical's own website does not list the Peachtree City address among its active locations. The nearest store the company lists is at 1135 Highway 85 N, Suite D, in Fayetteville — situated just north of SR 85 and Banks Crossing in the Satterfield Marketplace, according to stantonoptical.com.
Stanton Optical and the My Eyelab brand are both owned by a parent company called Now Optics. According to MapQuest's listing, My Eyelab locations were previously converted to the Stanton Optical brand as part of a broader consolidation. No sources indicate whether the Peachtree City closure is connected to that transition or when exactly the store shut its doors.
For customers who relied on the Hwy 54 location, the Fayetteville store offers eye exams — provided by independent doctors of optometry or ophthalmology — along with same-day single-vision glasses made in 30 minutes, according to stantonoptical.com. The company's general contact number is 800-STANTON.
Why it matters — Peachtree City residents who used the Hwy 54 Stanton Optical for eye exams, glasses, or contacts need to know the store is gone and where the nearest alternative is located.
