Hi! I’m Duane. I want to share with you a job that I’ve recently completed for a
sagging roof in Peachtree City. You can read all about this roof repair in the article below. This was an extensive repair with
roof decking, but we were able to repair the shingle roof perfectly. Remember my name if you ever need a
roof repair! I’ll be happy to hear from you.
How to Fix A Sagging Roof 30269
The client was buying a home that had some roofing issues. He wanted them fixed before he moved in. There was a section of the roof on the front of the house that had a dip in it. He didn’t like the looks of the roof and he couldn’t understand why it looked the way it did.
We checked out the roof and found out that the original builder had made a mistake with his framing and just didn’t bother to fix it. A couple of roof framing joists had been nailed in lower than the others and then decked over with plywood and shingled. It had always looked this way since the home was built. We bid to raise the offending trusses and make them all look even.
To begin the job, we first tore off the shingles then the old plywood decking. Using a chalkline, we lined up and raised the misaligned trusses and framed them up properly. We then installed the new plywood decking, installed the underlayment, and the new shingles.
End Results of this Roof Repair
This job was a little more tricky than I first imagined it would be. As it turned out, it wasn’t just a couple of trusses that were off. A few more of them were uneven but we lined them all up and got it looking good. There was another spot on the back of the roof with the exact same problem but we took care of that also.
The client loved the results of our work. We arrived on time on the day we had agreed on. He liked the fact that the price stayed the same and that we were able to get it all done in one day.
