Grilled Cheese Sandwhich: New and Improved!
Interested in learning a new way to make a grilled cheese sandwich? If you have a toaster, this new house hack will make cooking your grilled cheese sandwich easier than ever. Here is a step by step guide for using a toaster to make your grilled cheese sandwich. This is what you’ll need.
- Toaster (flipped on it’s side)
- Butter
- 2 slices of cheese
- 2 slices of bread (preferably thin sliced)
Instructions to Make this Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Step 1: Butter both slices of bread and lay the cheese on them.
Step 2: Place the bread and cheese in the toaster.
***I must confess, when I did this for the first time, I messed up! I put both slices of bread in the toaster at once. I was not ready for the toaster to spring when it finished cooking so it popped the bread out cheese side down. Below is a picture of my first attempt. I couldn’t help but laugh because I completely forgot that the toaster springs once finished! I thought maybe I could scrape the melted cheese off the counter, but it was a lost cause. Oh well! I tried again with another slice of bread and cheese and the results were much more desirable now that I knew to expect projectile toast. You can learn from my mistakes by standing by the toaster ready to catch the toast before it springs! Remember to put the toaster on low settings so it doesn’t burn the toast. Also, only cook one piece of bread at a time. It just makes the process go more smoothly.
Step 3: Once both slices of bread are toasted with melted cheese, stick them together and enjoy! You can also spice up a regular grilled cheese sandwich by adding meat, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and whatever else you want!
