Although Lake Kedron is located in Peachtree City it is not in fact owned by Peachtree City. Fayette County is the owner of the lake. As such, it seems that the rules differ slightly. For example, in Lake Kedron there is absolutely zero swimming allowed and no gasoline powered boats as well. The lake's primary purpose is to be a water source for Fayette County.
The lake however is opened to other types of boats and activities. The general public can fish and use electric powered boats on the lake.
Lake Kedron is approximately 235 acres and stores around 1 billion gallons of water. During normal rain fall the lake is full from spring till summer and then it begins to empty during the fall and stays that way until spring again.

The lake features a beautiful dock with lots of parking. This dock is often visited by Peachtree City residents for various reasons. Some of these include but are not limited to fishing, pictures (wedding, family, and senior pictures), and just to relax.The lake also has a boat ramp that is open for the general public to launch and dock electrical powered boats. Lake Kedron is a great place to go boating, kayaking, and fishing.
