Living in Peachtree City? You’re one lucky person, because Peachtree City is the best place to lose something! Now, you may not agree with me, but if there was any city that I would want to lose my keys, it would be Peachtree City. And if I did lose my keys, I would go to AA Royal Locksmiths. Let me be a bit more specific. The golf cart paths in Peachtree City are the best place to lose your keys. I say this because, I feel like there is no other place where you could drop something (phone, keys, wallet), then come back to find that someone has picked it up, and placed it in a place where you would find it easier. I think it would be more common for people to just swipe it, but not in Peachtree City! I’m not saying that everyone in Peachtree City is perfect, but if you’re going to lose something, you’ve got the best chances of finding it in PTC.
Have you ever lost anything in Peachtree City, then found it? Have you ever gone out of your way to help someone find a lost item? Now’s your time to brag, so let us know below!
Here’s a Story That Has Been Shared With Us About Two Girls That Helped Someone Find Their Phone
Kailey and Lauren, two young adults living in Peachtree City found a lost smart phone on the edge of a golf cart path in PTC, and they took it upon themselves to help return it to their owner. It was about 6:00 pm when these girls found the phone face down on the concrete. They picked it up, and it was completely undamaged! They thought about what to do, then decided to simply move it off the concrete, right next to the path. They figured this was the best place it could be for someone to find if they came back to look for it.
They left the phone there, but were worried someone might drive by and pick it up (it was an expensive phone). Around 9:00 pm that night, it was getting dark and they were worried about the phone. It was black so even if the owner did go looking for it, they would have a hard time locating it.
The girls decided to go back on their golf cart and see if the phone was where they left it. 3 HOURS later, the phone was still there! They knew people had probably seen it because it was a popular path, and they were amazed it was still in the same place. They picked up the phone and called a recent contact. In about 30 minutes, they were able to locate the owner and he very graciously picked it up the next day. Now that is service!
If I ever lose my wallet, phone, or keys, I hope that those two girls find it. They’re trustworthy and sacrificed their time to help a fellow citizen find his phone.
Lost Items in Peachtree City.
If you find anything of value on the golf cart paths, either leave them there or make an effort to find the owner. Here are some examples of lost items on golf cart paths in Peachtree City.
Be careful when your kids are playing with your sunglasses! They might just drop them on the golf cart path. Let’s hope they didn’t get scratched!
Let’s hope you don’t lose your wallet! But hopefully, if it does bounce off the golf cart, you’ll notice soon enough that it doesn’t get lost.
Darn, those kids just can’t seem to keep their shoes on!

Life in Peachtree City

Message from a follower: Yesterday I was biking around the paths near the library. During my ride my keys slipped out of my seat pouch and I lost them….the keys have a toyota key remote and a small Carolina Panthers lanyard on them and an Atlanta fitness gym key tag. I am asking if found to turn them in either at the library or the police station. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
OMG we have lived here a little over two years. I have lost my keys twice. Once someone turned someone found them at the softball field and turned them into World Gym because they saw I was a member per my keyring. The other time I lost them on the Golf cart path and someone turned them into the library b/c i had my key tag /library card on my key ring,
My son lost his cell phone on the golf cart path and the person called us to let us know it was safe.
Several times my teens lost their school binders on the way home from school along the cart paths and each time the binders were turned into the school.
my kids found an iPod on the cart path back in the day when kids didn’t have iPhones. They accessed iPhoto, looked to see if they knew anyone in the pictures, found a mutual acquaintance, took the iPod to them and they identified the owner from the photos. Lost was found:)
Love this story! I love the way PTCites place lost blankets, jackets, shoes, etc. on tree branches or bushes along the cart paths so that when the owners return to look for them the items are easier to find. It’s one of my favorite cart path customs! My husband lost his wallet on the paths two different times over about a 3-year span. The same man found it and returned it to our home. Lol! We’ve returned the favor with lost wallets, dogs and even kids. Many, many times our dog has made a break for it and the kind golfers on Flat Creek have found our number on his tag and called us so we could go pick him up. Peachtree City has a great sense of community. Most of our city-wide neighbors look out for each other and care for one another!
My son’s college roommate lost his keys while visiting us July 4. They parked behind Walgreens at 54 & Peachtree Parkway and walked toward the lake for fireworks. A golf cart picked them up half way. They walked back that path to Walgreens. When they arrived home his keys were missing. On the key ring was a key and fob for his truck and two house keys. I have checked with the police department, but no one had turned them in as of a few weeks ago. Any chance they have been turned in now? Wow, he would be impressed with Peachtree City!
I lost my purse on the golf cart path near the lake about 5-7 years ago. It was in the “glove box” area of the cart & must have fallen out from bouncing around….a teenage couple found it, looked up out telephone number from my license & returned it to me at my home. Love PTC!!! I don’t ever want to have to live anywhere else. P
My husband lost a set of keys. On the key ring was a library scan card. Someone in PTC found his keys, drove to a library to turn his keys in. An employee of the library looked up his card by the tag and called him. He was then able to pick up his keys the next day!!!
We found keys on the golf cart part, took them to the police depart in hopes the owner would check there for them. They would have never found them looking back on the path because they were under trash and leaves. We were caught off guard as we tried to explain where we found them and the police officer was quiet irritated that we just didn’t leave it where we found them. Kindness and honesty is always a plus in Peachtree City, however, I won’t be returning anything to the police department again. Wish we had a lost and found place so our honest citizens can return things. Way to go PTC
I was at the Kedron Kroger gas station and had dropped my
American Express card. I didn’t even realize it was gone until
I got a call from someone asking if I had lost it.
A very nice Peachtree City resident had found it
and promptly went about finding me. I am so very
grateful to live in a city where people are honest and do the
right thing. Peachtree City is a shining example of
great moral compass and love that I am raising my family here.
I recently left my smart phone in a shopping cart @ the Kedron Kroger. When I got home I remember leaving it in the cart so immediately went back to find it. It was not in any of the carts so I walked through the store looking to see if anyone had found it. A really nice lady had it in her cart and she had already called me on the phone to let me know that I had left my phone @ Kroger. If I had not returned to the store she had planned to drive by my house to give it to me. Luckily for me this happened to me in PTC as I was going on a trip the next day and needed all of the contacts on my phone. I also had put an address label on my phone so if it did get lost someone would know how to contact me. I love living in a community where people really care about one another.
My teenage daughter recently lost her driver’s permit on the cart path. Another teenager happened to find it and kindly returned it to our home!
My wife’s wallet bounced out of her purse a year or so ago while we were on the path system. About an hour after we arrived back at our home, a very kind lady knocked on out front door and brought back the wallet we didn’t even know was missing. Completely intact. SOOOO VERY GRATEFUL for where we live and who our neighbors are!
Sounds like a good idea for a lost and found. Or even a reward type thing included. ( if it is real valuable) ..They would have people out there looking all day to get that reward. ( I would NOT include pets) that could take the whole website over and besides the local animal shelter would be the place to leave that information. …My opinion.
I recently found an i phone while jogging on the paths. I was in the midst of decicing between attempting to make a call in hopes of finding the owner or putting it in a ‘safer’ yet still visible place near to where it was lost when I saw a woman searching the ground about 100 yards away across the street. she was thrilled to have it returned unharmed. 🙂
