Try Dragon Boat Racing this Saturday August 16th and 23rd starting at 9am at Lake McIntosh.
Dragon Boat Racing is the fastest growing on-water sport in the world. It’s also great exercise and a team building activity.
“It’s the best cardio workout you’ll ever get… sitting down!”
“…It’s the most amazing team building activity. Crossing the finish line everyone is whooping and hollering and loving the adrenaline rush,” says Jessica Walker, the head of the trainers for the event.
To Prepare for the Event There Are Two ‘Train-the-Trainer’ Practices
As the trainers prepare themselves to train the teams who have entered the Peachtree City Rotary Club Dragon Boat festival, they would love for people to come and try out paddling:
“The less experience you have the better! It gives the trainers an opportunity to learn how to teach effectively,” says Walker.
They provide:
-The boats
-Paddles
-Life jackets
-Steer person
Bring:
-Yourself, friends, coworkers
-Swim suit
-Sunglasses
-Clothing and Shoes that can get wet
-Sunscreen
