Today, Saturday 22, 2014 at 2:07 p.m. 3 Peachtree City men died in a plane crash at the LaGrange-Callaway Airport in LaGrange. Although the cause of the crash is officially unknown several people at the airport gave eyewitness accounts of what they saw.

The witnesses said that the plane was doing touch-and-go maneuvers when another plane towing a glider was coming down on an intersecting runway. The plane had to avoid the glider which caused the plane to stall and the plane proceeded to nose dive until it crashed.

The three men have been reported as being residents of Peachtree City. Two of the men died upon impact and the third was rushed to a hospital in Columbus where he died.

* Update: The Three Men Have Been Identified As:

60-year-old Michael Rossetti
69-year-old Willy Lutz
53-year-old Jeffrey Van Curtis

The plane was a twin-engine Beechraft Baron aircraft. According to the online records of the FAA it was officially registered to the Executive Aircraft Storage LLC located in Peachtree City, GA.

We ask that everyone keep their families in your prayers tonight and during the following week. We can't imagine what they must be going through at this time. We will do our best to keep everyone informed with the latest information.

I’m so sad, especially for their families. They have contributed so much to Peachtree City, this is enormous loss. On a personal note Jeff was a longtime trusted mentor who was always generous with his wisdom and time…I will deeply miss his presence. My heart and prayers go out to his wife and children and for his guided and peaceful transition to his next venture.
