*Update: We just talked to the city and received their projected finish date for the "New" Battery Way Boat Dock. The projected finish date is mid-April. So if you are planning to take pictures for a special occasion here it won't be available until then.

Lake Peachtree is also scheduled to start filling up at the end of March. Will this interfere with the docks completion? How long do you think it will take to fill the lake back up?

The Battery Way Boat Dock has been torn down today and is being prepared to have a brand new dock. In fact, this was one of the reasons that Lake Peachtree was lowered. The boat dock should be completed sometime around the end of March because that is when they are filling Lake Peachtree back up.

If you drive by the now missing Battery Way Boat Dock on your golf cart, expect to see construction taking place. We would love to see any pictures that you take during the process.

    I was at City Hall 2 days ago and inquired about the rebuilding of the batter way dock and was told there are no plans to rebuild. I was extremely disappointed. Does anyone know why they aren’t rebuilding or who made this decision?
