E.M. Blue received a call because the client had a downspout detach from her gutter and fall from the ground. She needed the downspout reinstalled and also needed her gutters cleaned.

Downspout Repairs and Gutter Cleaning

The house where this job was done was quite tall. E.M. Blue had to use their 40 ft ladder. The two brackets holding the downspout to the brick wall had broken off and tso they installed three more new brackets. They did this by drilling into the brick with a ¼ inch ceramic drill bit and driving in an anchor bolt to attach it. Once the brackets were installed, they attached the downspout to the new wall brackets and also to the outlet in the original gutter.

When they clean the gutters, they always put the refuse from the clogged gutters into a bucket as they go and then empty it into a garbage bag afterward. They never throw the mess from the gutter onto the lawn or bushes, as this tends to get the side of the house and yard messy.

The client was happy with the outcome of her gutters especially as we have had a lot of rain lately and the downspout was not doing much good on the ground. Everything about this job was high. The house was on a high, steep driveway and the gutters were way up high on the home. Though the height made it awkward to maneuver around the downspout, E.M. Blue was able to complete the job completely and to the customer’s satisfaction.
